The team led by Meenu K, a Deerwalk Foundation volunteer, headed for fairly remote parts of Bhaktapur to continue our relief work. It was visually disturbing to see the old town of Bhaktapur completely flattened. Meenu K had been actively helping her neighbors by taking a week off from her work.

She had approached us this time around as there has been acute shortage of medicines.  She had compiled a list of medicines which we bought along the way. The team distributed medicines like Cough Syrups, Sanitary Pads, Betadine, Nims, Cetamols, Bandages to two different camps.

Meanwhile, another team left for the town of Khokana. Deerwalk Foundation had received a call from the place almost right after the day we were hit by earthquake. The team assessed the needs and made some monetary contributions to couple of people who had lost everything.
